MM2: Stuttering sound issue @44100 Hz

I know MM2 has 22KHz sound files but, my Idea is to put 44KHz sounds on the game. I port a car engine sound from Gran Turismo 2 and save it as a 44K 16-bit mono WAV file. When the game lags the sound stutters. But in full fps the sound is smooth. What seems to be the reason?

That's just how it works I guess, try the 22k max.

You have no idea about it? let's just wait for the answer of the admins. And I want 44k, the quality is better. Does anyone else who uses 44k sound files to MM2?

Maybe it's just a game engine issue. Anyway, in-game and during a gameplay, wouldn't be noticed a great quality difference, but instead, are heard stutters and little pops.
I used 44KHz horn sounds, and what I noticed was a different (worse, to me) sounding in the galleries with the echo effect.
Fiat 500 = Italian motorization. Franch88, MM2 eXtreme forum and website Administrator.

Its within the game engine, I guess you're right. Since it only happens when the game lags in lower FPS.
