No car sounds

Hey everyone!
I just got the full version of MM2 and installed everything and when I first played it, I had all background sounds, but no sounds like voice or your own car noises, no police sirens etc. I played around with the sound options in the options menu and still no luck... Any help would be appreciated, its driving me mad!

did you delete any files in mm2 directory,something like ''aud.ar'',if you delete that......no luck.
