Need for Speed Carbon problem

Sometimes when I open my alias, the game crashes. But sometimes when I open my alias if I have luck, I can open my alias and challenge series works fine, but in career when I click resume career it doesnt happen anything. I have windows 8.1 64 bit. Please help!
