Calibrating camera

MMUT doesn't come with an option for a far view and I think I found a simple solution, by editing the program (going into the data/cameras folder and opening one of the notepad files). I'm asking for the default "(Far) Distance".

Yeah, that solution is done on purpose, but you can well even add new Notepad files in that folder with custom file names that describe the camera types, so you'll see the new item in the drop-down menu.
At this point, copy one of the files and rename it in "Far". Open it and paste all the following content. This is the one of the default Audi TT (vpauditt_FAR.camTrackCS).

However, each default game vehicle uses different camera file values for both near and far camera distance files.

That's a bit too much to ask... You can get the camera files of the default cars by using DeAR 2 program, opening the mm2core.ar file and extracting them from it (the directory is "tune/camera").

Is it an error that you get with using DeAR2? I've no idea of it. Have you tried to run the program as administrator?
