So this is your game problem not dgVoodoo or ReShade.
I fixed the issue, I removed one of my mods and forgot to delete the players folder, the addon car I mentioned had a different problem.
Glad to know that.

Note: dummiesboy who found ReShade first and I showed the way of using it.

Personally I find that a lot of people overuse effects. Here's what I've got:

Also, if you get a heap error NOT RELATED TO MODS, close any screen recorders or DirectX hooks that are running.

Should I worry?

https://www.mcafee.com/threat-intelligen ... oo2_52.zip

(well considering that I cannot access MM2X with my other browser for security reason -even though I never had problems with this site or its content - , I'm not relying 100% on these warnings)

I got it when I tried to download dgvoodoo2.52

It's a false positive. I've had that happen with other programs. Just add that site and MM2x to your exceptions list.

@aaro4130: Nice pic! :wink:

I have removed the useless settings and reduced the lag.

You guys must have gaming PCs to be able to have things like lens flares and bloom enabled.

Oh yeah boy, you know it.

But not really, I can even run it at 60 fps in my laptop! :o

There are some ScreenShots in the gallery by me, you can also see ReShade there.

Opinion:
Cool, but i get like 8-11 fps with it, at least we have another way to lag the game if you have a graphic card that hates MM2. (it happens to a beefed up AMD R9 280 from GIGABYTE, very cheap by the way)

Still playable, with mouse only, i've been playing for hours the previous month before this tutorial topic. :)
By doing trial and error.

Oh that didn't go well at all!

My Avira kept blocking the dll's. It accused them to be "HEUR/APC (Cloud)". When I opened the game, it didn't detect my 3D Video card anymore and when I tried to go to car roaster, the game froze completely.

Looks like I completely screwed up my MM2. Glad it's only 3 Dll's. When I move them elsewhere, game works perfectly.

Even with my Avira set to "off" and dll's loading, it still cannot detect properly my 3D video card and game blocks when I try to load cars, both on my own 3D video card and on the voodoo video card. It works even less than when your video card isn't recognized properly and it brings the "software rendering" stuff. Even though I downloaded all programs, copied Dll's and followed the steps.

It says "software only (no 3D video card)" on renderer on both my 3D video card and voodoo card in the graphics game section.

Did you try to choose one of the software renders or you have no choices? And your video card meet the requirements or not?

No choice. Regarding video card, I thought it would be sufficient, but I suppose I will have to download an older version of voodoo...

I have an ATI Radeon 5650 HD.

About this heap error. I got this error on linux in the beginning when trying to run MM2. After I went into MM2's sound settings and disabled every sound effect except "Sound effects" (Top left, first option), the error was gone.

EDIT: "Commentary" also seems fine to enable, I have not tested the rest of the options yet

I'm wondering, is there any other setting to change on the dgvoodoo app, aside from setting VRAM to 1024 MB in DirectX section?
