learning the basics of modding

alright since I'm new to modding I need to learn modding 101 so I can make mods.

Fist things first - what you wanna do? Car converting is a good start-up, so I'd recommend to go to Riva's corner and pick a car you like from Forza 3, 4, NFS Shift 2 or Driver SF, since those already come in the file format you can immediatly open on Zmodeler software (that you'll also need).

Then, download and read Silent1Unknown's guide about the basics of creating and/or converting a car into Midtown Madness 2, and follow it using the car you got on the previous step.

What should you do? Give up this idea, it's better for you (and us, probably)... Modding isn't something applicable with everyone. So far, you've showed to have difficulties to do even the easier things with installing downloaded mods and add-ons, so, figure out learn how to make them...
Anyway, if you want to being, the Cars making tutorial by Silent1Unknown linked in the upper post is a very good way to teach everything including the used tools.
