[Suggestion] Mods of the year

As it's already tradition around here, every year we vote for the users that contributed the most in certain categories, as a forums activity. However, we all know new good mods come every week, and as active members most users might be familiar with those more outstanding creations - but for somebody that doesn't come around very often or a visitor that might just discovered MM2X, these might not be that easy to find amongst all the other add-ons avaliable.

SO, I think it would be cool to select the best creations that are published on MM2X downloads section every year, with a new votation between the forum users, either at December of that year or at January of the following year. I'd suggest a member with more knowledge of all the mods released every year - my suggestion goes for Franch88, if he's avaliable to - pick about 3-5 mods for each category, and we all vote for the best for each category (I could make a Google Sheets survey that can be answered in less than 5 minutes). It would be appropriate to be announced the winner mods on the news feed, and kept pinned for some time.

The categories I suggest would be:

• Best car conversion of the year;
• Best scratch made car of the year;
• Best map of the year;
• Best mod of the year (being either a patch, graphics or sound enhancing mod, car pack, and so on).

What do you think about this idea? The whole thing is open to discussion.

It's a good idea, if you want to make it, go ahead. I'll see to select 5 releases for each type. The final website news can be published, but it's not possible to keep it fixed on the top or separated from the successive ones that will be published.
The correct way to identify the car packs is always as cars add-ons, either scratch made and converted models.

That's a great idea, ugh I gotta make a mod and convert something now haha

btw as I suggested already we also should do some kind of featured mod because there are a lot of important mods that disappear from the main page quickly and they get no attention

Don't you say also new tracks aren't welcome Not only Sajmon14 already presented us with his latest map, but I'm sure RacingFreak will release at least one of his map conventions still this year, and many other great mods besides cars are released regularly.
