Humm... I'd say it would run on an engine based on Apex's one, so if you PC is able to run properly Apex, I'd say there's an high chance it'll run Horizon 3 too.

It runs under the ForzaTech engine which is used in Apex so if you can run Apex you should be fine

It should run even better, as Apex is kinda not well optimized (atleast yet), because they were still experimenting with dx12. Horizon 3 should be much more well optimized ;)

Great news guys, today Forza Apex was released as a full version (no more called beta). The game, still free and still Windows 10 exclusive, flags gaming steering wheel compatibility as the main new feature (unfortunately I can't test this since for the price those are sold I could invest on some more new games :P ). I'm very excited to see what other improvements came with this new full version, but I can only do so on 2 days, sooo if someone else tries it before let me know how better it is now!

EDIT: After playing the game after receiving this update, I noticed a slight improvement on performance (previously the game stuttered a bit if I the CPU max performance limited to 82% like I use to do, and now it runs fine), however I really don't see many noticeable changes. I was expecting FXAA to be finally avaliable on the settings, instead of either using MSAA that cannot work on lower spec computers like mine, or not using any anti-aliasing system at all, but that hasn't been added to the game yet.

I was practicing some drifting trying to finally nail it, it was coming out quite decently until I thought nothing could go wrong if I did so moving at more than 180 km/h... That moment you know you just screwed up

So, how does the Impreza perform in Forza?

@BUGATTIMAN253MPH: The Subaru seems to be an equilibrated car, I suppose. While with ABS and stability control it feels quite easy to control, with those assists off it becomes great for drifting. Plus, it's one of my favourite cars avaliable in the game. :)

BTW, I forgot to mention, Forza Apex has a very cool photo mode that not only allows the user to move the game replay back and forwards as well as controlling the camera around, it also renders the chosen frame in 1080p, higher settings and motion blur, so even if like me you use a pc not as powerful, your shots still look great. This should be on other games, since it's pretty good not to have to change the settings to make the game look better in the shot and suffer horrible FPS until there.

@Carfan: It's worth to mention that, but I find hard to understand why someone would want now to upgrade to 10, after having a whole year to do so and skipped it... Unless if they want or need those assisting programs which were pretty much the only big update since the free update ended, but fortunately I think nobody here needs so.

I'm building a godzilla PC for Christmas to play Forza Horizon 3 on.
I see it's out now, I hope it's good! I'm definitely looking forward to the customization. (Gran Turismo really sucks for customization, it really does!) There's even going to be some Australian sports cars and a Warthog in the game.

Forza Horizon 3 demo for Windows 10 PC is now finally avaliable. A great way to have a first looks on how to game actually is and feels before purchasing the game and, if you're already interested, knowing how well it runs on your machine.

Get it from the Marketplace, here.

First time opening it...
"Your computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements. You can still try to play tho"
Excuse me?

Then, when trying to configure my controller, I find that the wheel isn't recognized at all.
Lag, with everything on Low.

Uninstalled it, good thing I didn't pay 70
