Whether you like this iteration of Need for Speed by Criterion or not (or just don't care then ignore), or don't own the game but wanted to, well now's your chance, you can get it for free "On the House", available at the Origin store.

Get it while you can, as it won't last long. Origin account/client is required.

Woah, thanks for saying this! Since I play Sims 4 I use to check out regularly those "on the house" games and I never get fascinated. Thankfully I won't miss this one.

I played it when it came out, and isn't so good, but get it for free is great.

Is this free version different to the pirate?

Of course it is. First, it's legal, and then, as such it's present in the own Origian account library and has a working multiplayer mode.

I've been playing the game and well, there are some things I dont really like. The confusing menu that I'll end up getting used to (hopefully), the 0% compatibility with a mouse (seriously did they just ported the console version into the PC?), but surely the thing that I disliked the most was the steering. It delays so much, it takes about 2 seconds with the key pressed to fully rotate the wheels, that is so awful. Some of you might say it's meant to be realistic and surelly I'd take that time to rotate the wheels on a real car if I was driving at 25 MPH, I surely wouldn't take the same time if I was speeding at the highway and there was a car right in front of me

Oh, and I almost forgot about the story (or the lack of it).

To be honest I've never checked out anything about this particular title, I thought it would have the feel of the original Most Wanted but how wrong was I. The game leaves much to be desired imo, but well, it's ok for the price right?

HA! So we're all on the same page, this is a game from EA, right? 'Nuff said XD

And as for the controls, I find that using a gamepad improves them a lot (gee, I wonder if this game could have been ported from a console amirite?)
