MM2X 2015 Forum Awards

2015 is close to it's end, and so it means it's about time to one more Forum Awards. Most of you probably remember I hosted the contest last year, and I'm offering to host it again this year. However, I bring a little thing I've been working on: a lot of people last year complained all the time it took to vote, and suggested to create a survey to simplify the process, and so I did this year. I created a survey hosted on Google Forms, including all the categories of the last year. Some generic questions (e.g.: funniest active member) have simply a field to write down the user's nickname, but others like the best car converters, that are more restricted, have a list I made where you can simply select in who you want to vote. By doing this, the votation is much more easier, and also the counting process gets way more easier and reliable.

For now the survey is online so you can check it, but it's unnecessary to vote, of course. I would like to hear your opinions, new suggestions for new categories and to check the users on the lists to ensure I didnt forgot anybody.

Also, I need some help with the safety of the survey - right now it doesn't ask for a Google account to vote, but I'll activate that option, but it won't stop anybody who wants to screw things up. There's a password trick too, but everybody can bypass it easily. Is there any way to restrict who can vote?

Pibraclab has also released some scratch made vehicles, so add him to the scratch cars category, you forgot me on the converters list :P For the trackmakers only Kunal has released something, but who knows I might finish my track this year :P

Too many questions, a real pain to answer all them.
Ok, this always happens.

Sajmon14, thanks for the corrections, tomorrow when I'm at the pc I'll fix those.

FXAN, with the survey it should take about 10-15 minutes to answer. However, we can select a few kinda useless categories to remove, the breakout of the year and best newcomer screenshoter, for example IMO, are kinda useless and repetitive.
Also, maybe we can do a nomination for the users of each category that deserve to win the most, like happened on the 2013 one, so voters would need to only choose between 3 or 4 users on each category.

Good to care about this, KingAndy, and nice work so far. :)
About some categories that can be removed, I agree with the best newcomer screenshoter one, but the breakout of the year isn't repetitive because it's restricted only to the new members registered this year. For the best track author of the year category, can well be added those who presented or did something about tracks making but still haven't released their work, like christoph0490.

So, this is conducted every November ? Elegantly organised, KingAndy. Good job :aprobar: !! Just to top it off, does my Scanner Chatter mod (mini mod) count as eligible for the Author of the best Midtown Madness 2 mod of the year:* ? It works with any seemingly compatible scanner adaptor (.csv). And what is

BIGzee, I think so, I'll add your nick to the list. On the last 2 years yes, but I'm delaying the beginning of the votation to December, until there we can all discuss about this. Password field is a trick I learned on the web to try to block any unwanted voter there. It's set to "abc123" just for testing, but if I keep that option on the final one I'll obviously change to an harder one. My idea for now to let you guys vote is you sending me a PM with you gmail account (you can create a new one just for this, it doesn't matter), I'll add you as editors so you can acess the survey expecting everybody here is grown up enough to don't mess arround with the survey, and also send you the password (wich is really useless because as editors you can see it :P ). Self amatory site means the fan made websites some users like me have, to release there their own mods. I changed it to "best active user [...]" just to avoid Riva wins once again.

I have fixed all the issues pointed until now, and I also added to it a template you might be more familiar with ;). I hope DJDecibel doesn't mind.

Thanks for it, which is obvious I'm not gonna win in, lolz. It's really cool, implementing THAT secure of a method. And the theme... woohoo 8)!!

Thanks :) !! So will I, with the site. Plenty much to be done for a final stable version.

EDIT: And a little bit of JimvanDam there, too - In the newcomer, breakout and modder ones, maybe.

I should definitely be on the car modeler of the year poll, same with the programmer. ;)
