Unless you don't run the game windowed with D3DWindower, you can just run it thought MM2 Game Loader, which makes ignore the mm2.lock file to the game.
Anyway, my method is to have just deleted the Trouble.rft file. So, after a crash of the game, when I run it again, what I get is a prompt message about the missing of that file to confirm. Then, I run it one more time to finally play it.

Trouble.rft - a name that ACTUALLY fits the purpose. Great to know there's a solution to this, Thanks Franch88 .

I have make a .bat file as the trouble.rtf. :)

Code: Select all

start D:/"JUEGOS"/Microsoft Games"/"Midtown Madness 2"/"Midtown2.exe" exit
Wait, but the file is still there!
That can give problems if i play on GameRanger.
And i can't use the mm2.lock deleter program because you only can select the folders from the C:\Program Files.
