How to reset UV map

I'm trying to UV Map a car to correct it's original mapping. It's a GT1 car from Shift 2 and only the spoiler has the correct mapping while the body is just solid colour. Can I reset the UV to show the entire livery?

Select the faces you want to reset, then make sure SEL is on and go to Surface > mapping > click reset UV. Or maybe you've assigned wrong material to the body, check material editor to confirm.

Someone on Gamemodels.ru had the problem with the Ford GT1. How on Earth they fixed it I don't know, but it must have took ages. 8O

Well I'm scrapping it now because Slightly Mad Studios are idiots when it comes to UV Mapping, four epic livery's wasted!

It's not them, it's the tool you're using. It was mapped once, but the exporter must have not exported UVs.. never blame the studio..

I ripped the GT1 cars myself. All of them except the Maserati MC12 have incorrect mapping. But it's not just the GT1 cars, some drift cars like the Mustang Falken have mapping for the carbon texture, instead of the liveries, I also found that the works kit of the M3 E36 has a glitched UV map on the trunk. I have no clue how the cars are mapped properly in the game and not in the 3D models. :?
