No more than 10 paint jobs?

Postby Doof4294967296 » Sat Jan 17, 2015 5:19 am

I've never done some cars with more than 10 paintjobs yet. Anyway is it possible for us to make more than ten? How?

Due to the Maxoff's PKG filter is possible have more than 10 paintjobs for a total of 14. In case you have problems in making it work, write it here.
Exists also the MM2BR's PKG filter which allows to have till 21 colors.
The negative sides of make a car with so many colors are given by the normal characters limit of 100 for their names in the .info file, and by the issue of the visibility of a random and badly textured object (usually they're those named "gizmo") pretty under the car when before you've played a gameplay using another car or one of the colors between the first and the tenth of the same car.

Didn't work in zmodeler at all, the file type .pkg was not recognized. I'm using version 1.07b. Is it compatible anyway? :?

1.05 works well for exporting and importing.

Are the files, pkg.zmf and pkg.txt in the FILTERS folder? You can replace the original or add a number to this one if you'd like to keep both filters (eg. "pkg1.zmf" "pkg1.txt"). Importing doesnt really work on ZM 1.07b, whereas it does on the 1.05.

Alright, I right told you to post if you have problems in making it work. Download this and this .dll files and extract them in the main ZModeler folder. Run the program and now the new filter selection should be in the list of supported file formats to import and export.
As Kunal says, if you want, you can have both the filters versions installed.
1.05 works well for exporting and importing.
That's true in the case of the importing, as is known that the default PKG filter of ZModeler 1.07b usually makes the program crash. But, this has to do nothing with the topic subject.
The Maxoff's PKG filter can't work with this older version of the program, it's designed to work only with the 1.07b version.
If I'm not wrong, the PKG filter of ZModeler 1.05 is limited to export vehicles with only 4 paintjobs maximum.

Ok, thanks. Anyway is 1.07b a final or what? It seems 1.05 runs better for me. It crashes more frequent than the older one. :|

ZModeler 1.07b is practically the last version of ZModeler 1 ever released. Beside support more games files formats to import and export, there aren't much different with the 1.05 version. Yeah, it looks to be generally more instable than older versions.
