Hi all.
For a while now I have been constructing stuff in Google Sketchup and some of the things I work on the most are basic city designs such as this one: Image
It occurred to me that if I go ahead and finish what I am making, that I could try and get it into Midtown Madness, so my question(s) is/are: Is this possible? Would I have needed to have had this in mind before I started? How many problems and difficulties would occur? and roughly how long could it take?

Thanks..

You have to make all tri's and edges by hand. Then import it into 3ds max.

Sure, you could export to 3DS, import to ZModeler, prepare objects, and export for MM2CT

On account that I only have access to a free version of Sketchup, it seems I am unable to export to 3DS, only .DAE and .KMZ (Google Earth file) it seems. And I tried following this which didn't seem to work.

Carking: My knowledge is still limited and I forget certain things I've read here, sorry: "make all tri's"?

You can export it to DAE then convert it with 3DSMax, if you have it. Else you'll probably have to find a converter for DAE

Tri's I guess Carking is refering to triangles, as there can only be triangles, edges and faces ;)

Upon export to DAE it will automatically convert to triangles though

Thanks for the help!
I have tried a number of methods now:
https://www.greentoken.de/onlineconv/ <<Doesn't seem to work for me.
https://www.paulscode.com/forum/index.php?topic=3.0 <<Seems outdated, but didn't work anyway.

I also tried downloading 3DSMax, but it wasn't installing properly. Might try again when I get a better internet connection (soon hopefully)
