Detach is your friend.
Thx, that was it...I made it through 3dsmax with this script

But still, I have to deal with the burden of assigning the materials and only then, I'll go through texturing and making some great liveries ^^

nononon That's so wrong
3DSMax loses all smoothing data

Export an OBJ to ZModeler 2.2.4 and then export it as a Z3D from there, all material data will stay as well, if you need some OBJs converted to Z3D, I have ZModeler 2.2.4

Thx guys...I managed it anyway with a little effort on assigning the material with the 2.2.6 version

Now, it's paintng time! I'm planning to provide 4 plain colors (orange, gray, black & white) along with 4 Itasha liveries, here's the first one (click 4 bigger):

Pretty uncommon choices for a paintjob, so...Why not? ^^

Hello all,

Just to let you know...I didn't forgot about MM2, but I had to make myself scarce around here for many reasons including school, loads of TM-related stuff to finish, and the unfortunate loss of the files of the Carson GT

But don't worry, now that I'm "back", I think I'll stick to default cars' texture edits for a while, before moving to more elaborate paintjobs...

Hope you'll understand, and sorry for the disappointement

Woohoo, just what I needed: My copy of the game definitely WON'T START! :(

Any possible help? I tried my best, to no avail ._.

Woo, finally back! And with something that I always wanted to do: Putting some new rims on our beloved default cars...Here's a first shot

Image

Every other default car (be it AI traffic, playable or maybe leftover vehicles from the MM2RV add-on) will be given the same treatment :)

And again, I deeply apologize for my neglect of anything MM2, as this is not really my main game when it comes to mod creation. Hope you'll understand...

Nice rims, will the Mustang Fastback have American Racing Torq Thrust rims?

I had idea for similar mod, nice to see real wheels on some cars. I hope the 99 Mustang will get the proper ones since MM2 one uses wheels from the 1994 model

Yeah, most likely...Also, I'll try and edit the paintjob so you can get actual green rather than this teal mess we're stuck with

Anyway, little update:

Had to delete the same texture from the rv5_maincars archive in order to get it working...
