Indeed. I'm willing to make some more new races for the pack, but Rohit is quite busy right now, and we both already planned to release our mods around the same time.

I'll post an update in hopefully less than a week from now.

Apologies for double posting, but I have a couple of minor updates to post in this thread.

So, I decided to revamp two of the existing checkpoint races, Pacific Sprint and SOMA Insanity. I've also made minor changes to other races as well, but I've only slightly altered the checkpoints and routes.

Anyway, the beginning of Pacific Sprint is quite different now. It starts off at the Golden Gate Bridge instead of Fort Mason. And instead of going through the tunnel, the racers would now have to jump over the Lombard Street instead! Some of the opponents now take a shortcut at the end, too...






As for SOMA Insanity, it's changes aren't that much different from Pacific Sprint. I only altered the checkpoints, added more cops, and gave new routes for the opponents to go with the new layout.



I will show off the new cop locations now, since I have already shown the new routes. (don't mind the sedan in the first picture)






Feel free to post your feedback! And decide whether I should keep the changes or not. Don't worry about the lack of new races, I can tell you that there will definitely be a new checkpoint race posted some time around this month...

Alright, we're long overdue for a new race... and here we are now with an early Christmas present just in time for the holiday season!

Checkpoint #9 - Central Crisis



Driving around the center of a crowded city has never been an easy task, especially when it's during a busy Saturday night. We've got cars, we've got traffic, we've got cops, and we even got some "road maintenance" going on nearby Chinatown. You have eight other drivers with you, so you might just have to go round and round to find the perfect route to win this race, because they all won't be following each other, that's for sure.

• 8 Opponents, with different individual routes!
• Cloudy Evening for Amateur, and Clear Night for Professional
• 25% Traffic for Amateur, and 30% Traffic for Professional.
• 8 Cops in Amateur, and 11 Cops in Professional. (including six total Busblocks)
• Traffic speed is 2x faster in Amateur, and 3.5x faster in Professional.

I like the concept of "roadblocks". Makes races more complicated and it's more efficient than the additional buses from Big Bus Party blitz.
