So now that I moved up from XP, I can play Halo 2. I got through the campaign on normal in four days with average losses. I want to turn to multiplayer, but can anyone help me figure out how? It wants me to have a "Live" account, but when I told it to take me to the site, it was an xbox account site and I don't have an xbox. It also said before I could have an xbox account, I had to get a windows account. I did. It got me nowhere. What am I missing?
Optionally, is there any way to bypass accounts or find some random unused account I can commandeer?

I heard they are going to cancel the LIVE for pc on July 1, 2014.
