You guys couldn't believe how much I owe you. I knew there was some workaround possible in video.cfg but never could figure it out. Saw some thread on MMA with the solution on a dead link and ultimately lost hope. I can't believe this site is still around. This patch and the official XP & DirectX updates finally got mods working fine.
