Maybe we should introduce a random mod button on the website so those mods that fell down the back of the sofa and were forgot about can gain a new lease of life?

Are you thinking that if someone downloads a new mod, then it will get the another old mod with that. Its not good.

I actually couldn't get you.
Do you mean a Randomiser which will automatically redirect us to the any old mod which is on the last pages?
The idea is not bad, what about Oldest-Newest formation mod viewing section or customized view like here in topics?

I've got what you mean. Your idea is about implement a random menu box on the left side of the homepage menus with a link that changes at random everytime that the page it's loaded, practically like it's actually for the screenshots gallery.
The idea it's not bad, but I found it pretty senseless. Probably lot of people wouldn't notice it and find it useful, then, the mods are always present in the website ready to be downloaded when you want, and there's also the search function to quickly search them.
