As said, I would wait what DjDecibel thinks about this. I would go for the mini website hosted here so it can be all managed by Dummiesboy or whoever wants to manage it. The files uploading can be done through that website.
I don't see how an MM1 downloads section can fit MM2X website, and if put in it, it's something that I have to manage. In the website is possible create administrator accounts with limited functions, but not so detail stringent like limit it only to manage the downloads put in specific categories.
BTW Carking, you can still manage MMArchive, right? You could well put there at least the MM1 related files released in the last times, like the Toty's MM2 cars conversions.

Jeremy and myself can be. We each have considerable knowledge of the MM1 addons, and I have a few that haven't been seen since mm1's peak times back in 2001-2. Would be a great honor to have the chance.

We do not think this is so difficult, here are a section of MM3 that has not been touched for a long time and not even a single file to download.
Carking1996 Dummiesboy could help with the site.

Recently me and Dummiesboy discussed about the publishing of an his incoming mod for MM1 here at MM2X; we found a deal, but it isn't about put the download here. DjDecibel, you may have noticed that I've prepared the side menu with Cars, Tracks and Mods sections for MM1 downloads. However, see you for all the technical stuff.
Well, something I can do for these new sections too, I'm now having more time after have closed with the making of my cars conversions till at least the summer end.
I recommend Dummiesboy as manager for the MM1 downloads sections, he's perfect.
