Like my render?

Postby CarLuver69 » Fri Feb 04, 2011 6:11 am

I basically took the Mustang from 18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul, put the car together, textured it, made a street with a building, and then added some simple smoke effects, a skybox, and finally rendered it. I think I did good considering the only other render I've truly done is this one 3 years ago -

Big improvement.

Good rendering, simply made but nice. Which program have you used to make it?

Haha yeah, the method I used for making the smoke involved a simple 2 polygon plane that used Alpha transparency and an Opacity map, which I then proceeded to make multiple copies of therefore creating the exhaust effect. Simple and easy. Could've been better

The truck is long gone, lol. Our animation class had a big repository of models on the server, so I just took that truck out of there, LOL.
