GTA SA problem

i got gta sa it was working properly with my old graphic card nvidia 8500 but its resolution was 800x600 when i wanted to change the res the game crashes anyway i played with 800x600 but when i changed my graphic card to GIGABYTE GT220 1GB DDR3 the graphic card changed all of the progaram's resolution to the lowest and then when i wanted to play sa the screen turns black and returns to the desktop
