Yeah, if MM2 doesn't run very well how it had to be, just try to run it in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode, it's always worth. I already do this on Windows Vista.
Have fun with your new notebook.

Well... can anyone tell me how to get drivers working on XP mode? Absolutly no DirectX, or nVidia drivers are installed currently, but they already are on Windows 7. Do I need to download these onto the Virtual Machine, or is this a limit of XP mode?

That's ridiculous. If no drivers are installed, call MSI. Maybe it's meant to be like that, but you have to contact them..

Maybe you can't use any 3D application on the XP Mode, that's just a virtual machine with Windows XP. You can share other things with the host OS, Windows 7, but maybe not advanced thing like the graphic card driver. You aren't able to install the DirectX and the graphic card drivers on the virtual machine? Also, is worth do a search about the limits of the XP Mode.

No Zac, the graphic card drivers and the DirectX are obviously installed in the system, the problem is that they don't work in the virtual Windows XP machine of the XP Mode function. Usually a virtual machine emulates a basic integrated graphic card.

Ahh. LOL. Excuse me. :P Well try searching for this problem. Search the error on Google. That's all I can say.

EDIT: Try this.

Well, as of 5 minutes ago, I have had my 5th Blue Screen of Death. I didn't catch the others when they happened, but this time I was connecting Blue Tooth headphones, and opening WMP at the same time. This is a possible reason, but most likely it is because I have a brand new 64 bit OS. It is bound to have problems.

Yeah, I have never been without BSODs. Not even with 98.

I think I may have discovered the reason as to why the graphics suck. I tried running MM2 in 256 colors, just to see if it helps the lag, and while it did help, there was no difference in graphics. Something tells me that there is a program forcing MM2 to run with 256 quality, no matter what. Whatever it is may be related to the lag too.
If anyone has had a similer problem, could you please give me some advice? I have looked in the nVidia control panel, and nHancer, but nothing seems to be related to this...

Have you made sure nothing is running in the background while mm2 runs? Have you also closed any processes in taskmanager that are not needed by windows?

No advice. I have Windows 7 Ultimite 64Bit, and this doesn't happen.

I think he has enough ram to run things in the background HM..

That's not what I was getting at. He thought there was a program interfering with MM2, so I just wanted to confirm that he made sure absolutely nothing other then needed windows processes were running in the background. ;)

It's pretty odd that this is happening to him though. :? Maybe a reinstall of W7 would fix it?

Well, considering the process I have made getting everything on here, and with all of the customization that fits my needs, it just doesn't seem good enough to redo all of that on a hunch.
I'd bet that it has something to do with the Graphics card, because the sorce of the problems seem to be related with graphics, hence the increse in performance when I went into 256 colors mode. I might have to consider a different Graphics card, if I ever get my money back. (iTunes is a hog)

Maybe you could change it, doubt it. If you change the gfx, buying the laptop is a waste. If you really want to play MM2, get a cheap desktop PC. They go as low as 200$. PM me if you want info about current ones to buy off the store. Try reinstalling Windows 7 with 32bit.
