Zac's Computer Questions and Problems topic

Postby Zac4084 » Mon Sep 28, 2009 1:54 am

Hi.

About every time I open a certain folder this happens;
Image
Then a security thing pops up at the place next to the task bar, no virus though. It happened before in the past. But I reformatted, not because of this.
Its p*ssing me off.. :twisted:

Thank you.

This problem remind me of the explorer.exe crashing when I try to select a video file; it crashes because of the video preview show in the file details frame. Probably some missing or video codec error. In your case isn't like mine.
Searching about the R6034 runtime error it's an error of the C/C++ language: attempt to load C runtime library without using manifest. Try to search around for a possible solution.
Can you explan when that happens? Does it happen when you try to open or select an HTML file, like showed in the image? Maybe the Microsoft FrontPage program reinstall will let the issue fixed.

Yeah! The last one was because of a Video Folder.

Umm.. I have no ex. with C/C+, Could you explain how please..? :oops:

Its a normal folder, just HTML, and CSS files. I push OK, The a thing pops up that says Explorer.Exe crashed, attempting to restart, it does nothing if I wait, then I push cancel. Then everything but the computer background goes away, wait 5 secs, and it pops up. Yesterday it happened 4 times in a row non-stop and I had to restart. It didn't seem to happen after that... :roll:

I'll change this to my computer problems topic. ;)

I can across another one..

I had it before, but it was with Windows Movie Maker, when I click Publish.

Image

It stays on top of everything!

I just change the display resolution, and went away, but when I click delete like the way before, pop.

EDIT: I right clicked on the taskbar to close a window, and now the Close thing is stuck. :P

Its not like stuck, stuck. It just keeps the tab thing there. :roll:

Yeah, I know that, but that happenes to me only after an error of the WMM. In that case, I just restart my PC. :wink:

Lately I wanted to upgrade things in my computer. So I looked if it was 64-bit compatible. And yes, it is. Would upgrading to 64-bit and adding more ram help any much?

Thanks.

Have a 64 bit OS is useful when you have more than 3Gb of RAM memory, because a 32 bit OS can't see and use more than about 3 GB of it, also if the system see all the real amount or your RAM memory. For me a 64 bit OS is usefull especially for this thing, because it can give problems with running some 32 bit softwares, especially if old, but are rare cases. 64 bit made softwares aren't still a lot too.
Anyway, is now ok upgrate to Windows 7 64 bit, at least in Home Edition.

The official Paint.Net forum is just so helpful that they never replied. :evil:

C & P.

Hi all.

So I've been using Paint.Net for a year or 2. And I got this issue on my Laptop, I opened Paint.Net, It couldn't open, something like that, and then it wouldn't uninstall, so I deleted it from ProgFiles, and then while extracting when I tried to install it (1st stage) I got this;

Paint.Net Setup Front-End has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Any suggestions..?

I have a 64MB GFX on my Laptop, I want to overclock it to 128MB, How risky would this be?

You can't overclock the graphic card memory to have more of it, with the overclocking you increase its working frequency. :P I guess that your laptop graphic card uses the system RAM memory, it hasn't an own dedicated memory; is so in many laptops with an integrated or entry lever graphic card. Sometimes isn't possible increase it, but check the screen settings and see if there are options about the graphic card.

Concerning your older problem with the Paint.Net program setup, I don't know how that can happen. You should try to delete from the system registry any voice about Paint.Net.

I'm not sure but only the ATI/nVidia cards have an antialasing option so it would be hard to enable it from another video card (such as Intel).
