Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 problem

Hi everyone.

Today I've installed the test version KIS 2009 and I have a problem: After the complete installation I start KIS 2009 and after it has started, it tells me, that some protection functions couldn't be activated and the red light is on and it tells me, that my computer is at risk. So the Firewall won't work, the Anti-Virus and other functions. Other things are working well (like Anti-Dialer, Anti-Banner etc.). There are red crosses on the beginning of the function description and not green ticks. So I'm not full protected. Can anybody help me and tell me, where is the problem? I tried to uninstall and then to install again, to repair the program and also to turn off my previous Anti-Virus applications, but nothing helped. Any help?

Thanks.

P.S.: If you're not understanding the situation, I could post some screens about the problem.

He could reply here. Anyway, I found the problem, but the problem isn't solved yet. I've registred at the German Kaspersky Lab forum, Watch my screens about the problem here.

Well in my opinion, Kaspersky Internet Security is not needed; the Anti Virus version is good enough. I don't like the Internet Security because it goes crazy about everything, I couldn't take it and so I uninstalled it. The only thing I liked about it was that, if you tried to download something that contained a virus or trojan, it would alert you. Which is nice but not needed.

I've never heard of this problem and I have never experienced it myself, but it sounds like you may have already have had a virus on your computer and it messed up the installation so that Kaspersky can't function good enough to get rid of the virus, just like what my dad had happen recently. I'm sure a reformat would fix it, although seeing as how you have already registered, you will need to contact customer support or something and get them to allow you to use the key once again, if possible; otherwise they'll blacklist it.

I hope this helps. I can't think of anything else that would do this, and I'm guessing you may have already been told this seeing as how many replies you have gotten on the forum.

No, I haven't got any virus, I'm very sure. It's a short time ago, since I made the last virus scan.

But you said the Anti Virus feature won't work, so did you do a scan with some other Anti Virus before installing this?

Yes, of course. I had Avira AntiVir Personal-Free Antivirus. I made a scan with it.
