New York City Crashing

Title says most of it basially, I try to go on NYC, and the game crashes about 75% into loading.

NYC city conversion for MM2 will crash if you're playing it with medium or high quality model cars at the maximum screen resolution.
Set the screen resolution 1024x768 or 800x600 pixel in the game graphic options to play it with most of the quality cars. The very high quality cars will let crash the city loading anyways.

The low-poly cars that come with it should work well.

I forgot to say that you have to play it with graphic settings setted to hardware rendering without T&L.

Indeed, this is why I've talked about medium or high quality polygons model cars.
Also the in-game cars will give no problems with any screen resolution.
