Road Train

Postby ac92 » Wed Oct 31, 2007 6:56 pm

Can a road train be driven in MM2? Where can I find it? Everything I found are 2 links - one closed because of viruses, and other dead. :(

Topic moved, because it was in a wrong forum section.

I haven't well understood what is your request. Maybe you want a train for MM2; I know a train that can be driven like a car, but seems that now the download link doesn't work any more. However it's this.

Well, thanks for the train :-). However, a ROAD train is a composition between a truck and 3 or more trailers, driven in Australia. So it looks like all those Freightliners, Macks and Western Stars, but it has 3 trailers. That is what I request

Ok, so you don't found a train, but a truck with at least 3 trailers. I haven't understood you request.
I don't know a truck with three trailers for MM2. There are trucks with only one trailer for MM2. If there are a road train for MM2, maybe it's an old creation.

Well, as I told, I found 2 dead links, and that is all. Still, I think that a road train would be interesting to many people, so if some team starts working on such project, it would be great. There is also a game called 18 Wheels Of Steal - Convoy, which has trucks with many trailers. Maybe they can be converted to MM2 format.

Uhm, can you post the two dead links? Just to see from what websites was possible to download this road train.
I know the series 18 Wheels Of Steel; it has a lot of trucks (but not real trucks) and trailers. Is possible to convert a truck from that game to MM2, and the contrary has been done by the ex STC team.

PS: it's name is 18 Wheels Of Steel, not 18 Wheels Of Steal!

the first page is this: bim.km.ru/mm2/cars/mm2_cars_other_trucks_1.htm
I could not find the second link now, the first time I found it it was by Google, but this time it did not show. I don't think it would be useful anyway because it had viruses, and was closed. By the way thanks for correcting my English writing, I'll keep that in mind :-D

I know that Russian website; at least 2 months ago it was online, but now it doesn't work because of viruses, you said. I remember only a lot of Russian cars which that website had.
Sure you don't remember the name of the truck that you find. Here there are two trucks, here and here there are other three trucks. Look also here, there are some other trucks. See also this website.
I hope that this can help you. ;)

Sorry for waiting so long, I had some problems with the internet connection.
The first 3 pages don't have any road train, I've searched there earlier. On the last website I found a road train but it appeared to be a corrupted .zip file, so I could not unpack it... So here we go again... Any road train for MM2?

No problem for the wait, I'm often here. :)
The first three links in my previous post have trucks, but them aren't really road trains. I've checked that on MMArchive (the last link of my previous post) there's a file called Roadtrain, but it's size is 0 KB! I don't know if in some of the new files added in that website there's a Roadtrain.
However I've found other trucks on Midtownmadness.de: them are here (it's an army truck), here (them are a Mack RD800 with trunks and a Kenworth 900), here (there's a Kenworth truck) and here (it's a Peterbilt truck). I bet that there aren't other american trucks besides these! :|
I'll contact Gafaddict about to solve the problem with that file on him website. ;) I hope for you that won't be other problems with your Internet connection. :)

As far as I know nobody have converted any truck from that game. However seems that is possible, because a program called ZModeler (a 3D model editor used for MM2) can import the truck models from that game, I remember the Pedal To The Medal one.

Are you sure about the fused trailer?
I have the Zmodeler on my PC but when I took a look on it I just lost the wish to create my own vehicle...

Could you post the link with that cab&first trailer fused road train
(if it exists, of course, and if you know where to find it)?
