You mean Microsoft.NET V3.0? Why can't you install it?

I could have sent you the non-installer version back when the mod was released, but i dont have it anymore. So, just try your best with getting .net framework.

Anyway, I can also add support for more cities with my skies... cmon guys, is anyone intrested in this update?

Guess I'll just finish this mod up. Came back on my mind today, totally forgot about it..

So far, I am adding a new night rain sky, which is from the game No One Lives Forever 2. Great textures, I hope they look good in mm2. I will also be adding flashes of lightning to them. Or, may. Just have to see how that goes. I also plan on redoing the fog effect in the game, because now that I look at more pictures of real life, and play other games such as Mafia 2 and GTA IV, i realise that my current fog effects aren't that good.

But, does anyone think it's worth releasing anymore? Does anyone still play MM2 enough to care for these new things in addition to the other small fixes and addidional addon (no default cars) I've done for the patch? Please let me know what you think about this, and what you think about the new things I have planned. And if you have any new ideas for the patch, say so.

Thanks Wilder. :)

Anyway, the new sky looks just about as good as I expected it to.

Now I'll see about adding lightining flashes to it.

Well, for some reason, mm2 will only use 22 textures for one side of the sky.. anymore, and it crashes without any error when starting up. 22 is just not enough to make it look good, because the flashes happen far too often. And if I reduce the animation rate, it just doesnt look realistic... so this idea just wont work. Sorry guys. Anyway, I will now work on redoing the fog effects. I'll post here when that is done.

I'll just ask one last time.. :P Any ideas you guys want for MM2, say them here. This patch doesn't just have to fix and enhance things, it can also add some new fetures.

I can't really think of anything you could add to MM2 that hasn't been done already...what about some modified default cars or something?

Try to reduce the frame count (# of frames needed for the entire animation). You can software like GIF Movie Gear to delete every second or third....etc frames, thereby shortening the frame count. If the animation looks choppy, compensate by increasing animation rate.

I dont understand what you are saying silent. I am using the .movie method in MM2 for the lightning, and that requires textures for each frame. But I can only set one speed for all textures...

I think what Silent meant was you should cut down the amount of time that passes by in each frame...like, cut out the amount of textures so that it cuts down the total amount of time passed but also so that it doesn't look too unrealistic...you know what I mean?

Here's something I made for an old website of mine, it uses <10 frames going in one direction and looks like it hits every number, but in reality it's only hitting every other number...

Image

And even though it doesn't hit every number, it still looks realistic. That's the point Silent's trying to make.
