If you hit a Pole or and obstacles you wont crash like you crash in default mm2

Manners, please... Anyway, your replies aren't that wrong. Actually, download the mod and try it in-game to see what it does, but before, it's good look at this from the files inside the .ar file, even if you can figure out what changes have been done. A Readme file with info isn't neither included.
The Pole Mod affects the prop objects, making them lighter to be easier broken and moved. Practically, it does the opposite of the Banger Fix.

I know I'm probably crazy, but the banger is my favorite of the two. Heavy crashes are more fun than massless poles. (okay...the real truth is that my awesome racing record was made by indirectly smashing all other opponents by ramming them into the path of buses and trucks.)
