3D renders

Thanks Hastantyo for the HDRI's, I'll certainly try them

But today I made a thing that I wanted to do at a long time, a rendering of a MM2 scene, in MM2! (If you don't understand watch the image below)

A tipical scene to me (and to many others I think ):



About the cars, you can notice that I always use the same, and its for 3 reasons:

1- I'm not rich (as stated in the post above)
2- I can't model (or better, I'm learning )
3- These are the only free quality cars that I found.

Edit: I see in the watermark (?) that you got this car from Forza. How did you got it? Is it Hi-Poly (I presume so)?

Cool new render Hastantyo. Great MM2 scene making Diatosta, the render is nicely integrated with the in-game screenshot.

You can get models of some games from Riva's website, here are the ones from Forza Motorsport 3. They are good especially for external scenes like the Hastantyo's ones, because of the low details of the models. In the case of the FM3/4 cars, is better use the higher polygons LOD0 models, that can be found on the Internet, though.
Here there are many good free 3D cars models, but only few of them are very well detailed and textured; some comes from games too.

Ey Franch, thanks for the Riva's site, so many cars! :O

Bt now I have an problem, I need Zmodeler 1.0.5 for converting the cars to 3DS, as I can't found it antwhere, or is it possible to put them directly in 3DS Max?

You can use 1.07b to do it, it is availible at many places.

Nice renders. What goes up, must come down, Beetle's driver will know that soon.. Anyway, you can get Zmodeler v1.05c here.

Thanks guys, but now I discovered the 1.05 version lost in my HDD. Anyway, I'm using the Zmodeler 3 beta. It's a trial, but its very good.

And the Riva's models are excellent!

Hey Hastantyo, how did you made the your images background. I mean, I'm trying to model myself all the scene, but don't know how to put the sky there. Did you made the road and sky, or is it just a picture/HDRI?

Finally I got a render of my own!:

I finally made one with 3d background (I made studio style ) with my real car :3



Note: This image is 15000x6750, but it only weights 16,6 MB, as it was saved as .JPG. Light, and it won't lose its quality.

Note 2: In the end of the rendering I noticed that the material around the windows wasn't correctly textured. It was supposed to be black. Damn! So I'm going to re-render it. And this isn't a final image!

Rendering time: 5 hours and 55 minutes!

Hey Franch, I'm making a nocturn scene (NFS style). Its now rendering, 4 hours left (estimated). I think this one is gonna be very cool
