Nice pictures you found. ;) There's many, some even tricked to be real car pictures. ZM doesn't have a engine, so the best thing to do is edit it in 3D view.

Sure its hard to render in 3DS Max, it took me 2hrs to get a pic. :P

Here is a really nice engine. But I could never get something in it..

So nice. :)

Nice render, Hastantyo. Did you make it? I guess its from Blender, a very good free modeling and rendering software.

Zac, what is the bodykit on that Ferrari 599 GTB. It looks awesome and now I want to make it.

@ Silent, I think that is a Novitec Rosso kit on a Ferrari 599. This car is going to be available for GTA4

@Zac: thanks for participate! :D ya, to make a Render is very hard, we need a very good PC Spec for best result.

@Silents: its not from me, and its not from "Blender" too. could you see the signature on that pic? its was made by indonesian people, my friends offcourse. in my state, we had a comunity so show a 3Ds max projects in render plus the wireframe. so, i just want to share it in here. no problem right? :D

This guy designed the Forza 3 Box!

Look how close the details are..

FINALLY a model I like. I thought these were real life photos.

100% scratch, on the Benz "64 hours working time".

Try to guess how many polygons..

Enjoy. 8)

Hello guys! This is the first time I make a render, I'm still learning btw. :)

My First Render, Mitsubhisi Fuso Super Great (my MM2 conversion):
Image

Improved a bit, Western Star from 18 Wheels of Steel Pedal to the Metal game:
Image

Honda Fit from Forza Motorsport 3, Ripped by Riva:

Image

Anyway, I wanna ask something. Why the "V-Ray" render plug-ins on my 3Dmax wont work? What is the difference between "Mental Ray" render with "V-Ray" one? Thanks before. :)

Very nice renders. The reflections on the cars could look better if the model was high poylgons.

Thanks. :) Yeah, maybe the Developer made it "simple" to reduce the size of the file, so they made the poly's so simple, but gives a nice looks. :)

Anyway, this is more renders I've made some days ago:

Western Star (Added new scene original from the game):

#too shiny reflections?

Honda Fit (Improved scene, light, effects, and texture):

Western Star - Road Train (from 18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Trucker game), scene made by me:

Mack Vision Road - Train (from 18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Trucker game), scene made by me:

There's some version, difference from the lights placement effects:

#which one is better?

More coming soon. :)

Cool new scenes, the reflections are ok for me, great the chromes. In the Western Star scene the reflections are too much probably. About the last scene renderings, I find the last one the best, because the lights fit more the morning look sky.
Thanks. :) Yeah, maybe the Developer made it "simple" to reduce the size of the file, so they made the poly's so simple, but gives a nice looks. :)
Really isn't so, the FM3 game models ripped by Riva are the ones with lower polygons than the main one, to be convertible for MM2. The higher quality models have more than 100.000 polygons, and they're perfect for rendered scenes.

Wow, really? 8O I'm a bit curious too while took some FM3 models ripped by Riva, I feel the polygons are not too much as I imagine. Because I see a lot of FM3 pictures, the models looks very detailed, with perfect reflections. :)

About the last render, yeah I'm prefer the last one too. But, the light effects need to be improve. :) Anyway, its not "morning" sky, it was "sunset_cloudy" originally from its game. :P

Here is some improvements of my recent renders:

Honda Fit (Improved shadow, lights effects, specular, glossiness, textures, and reflections)

Before:
Image

After:

click here to view original resolution: 1366x768 pixel.
Render time: 3 hours 48 minutes.

Untextured:

The "normals" still messed up in some areas.

Mack Vision - Road Train (Improved shadow, lights effects, specular, glossiness, textures, and reflections)

Before:

After:

direct link to view original resolution: 1920x1080 pixel.
Render time: 4 hours 21 minutes.

Is the shadow still too hard, or less? Better looks? More coming soon. :)
