Chicago track conversion from MM1

Since Archipelago is almost finished, I decided to start converting chicago to MM2. Here is what I have so far.

Nice progress so far, good luck with it. :)
I guess that those objects are all the .bms files of the MM1 Chicago converted as PKG objects. That's good, but the problem is the one of the PSDL, that for the MM1 Chicago is in a different unknown format, not possible to convert so far. You should do something like Toyzidro did and showed in your old Chicago project topic. At the end, you get a Chicago city with PSDL made by you and PKG objects converted from the MM1 one, but seems that there are problems with the buildings (they should made like the MM2 cities, as PSDL terrain ground blocks).

Yeah objects are easily convertible, because the different roads are separate objects that I can name ROADS_ and I can split the intersections into different objects. :D

Well, several months ago, I would be nagging you for stealing Skeeball's idea. However, since he has fallen off the face of the planet, it is good to see the project started again! :D

PS, If I were you, I would make Lake Michigan bigger since it is very easy to see the edge of the level. Even in MM1.

Now it's looking more complete, so you hadn't converted and imported all the objects. Seems that the MM1 Chicago doesn't use a kind of MM1 version of the MM2 PSDL terrain, base for any city and for the working of traffic, races opponents and cop cars, but seems that all the city is made with those BMS objects: this is very good, and the already splitted roads will save you time to make them as road objects for traffic for the MM2 City Toolkit PSDL terrain generating. Keep up the nice work, there's a lot to do. :wink:

i was working with skeeball on converting chicago but then he fell of the earth..anyway nice to see some one else working on it

i found out all the files i had and started again below is a few hours work .. using bms2pkg and windows xp (vista/w7 has 15 lim)so could convert all files in chicagolm and chicagocity folders in one go and then using zm 1.06 i could import over 300 files in one go without it crashing
