unzipping car, map, mod files

when i download a file from mm2x or any other midtown site, and its in a normal zip format. i cant unzip it it. with 7-zip it comes up with a unspecified error.
And with winRAR it with a error saying the archive is eitther unknown format or damaged.
help!

holy crap! the same thing happens to me too.

Try opening it with windows zip utility. Or maybe its associated with both winrar and 7-zip? That might create conflicts
