Good Web Browser

Postby Anthony » Thu Sep 25, 2008 9:34 pm

ok, for those of you who want 50 billion features on your web browser, look away. If you want a simple browser, then here is a great one.

You don't get 500 pixels of menus at the top. At the top there are two bars. Ones is the title bar with the X [] and _. However rather than a new line for tabs, tabs are on this line.

The second line has the back forwards buttons and the address bar.

Then you get the 1200 pixels of web page. And the bar at the bottom is a box that appears when it is needed.

Personally I like the lack of wasted space that you get with other browsers.

Do a search for google chrome.

:)

based upon safari and firefox

Ahhh, the good Google Chrome. Of course I heard about it and I've tried it out. It's very impressive! :)

Google Chrome looks a very interesting browser. I don't have tried it, maybe I'll try the final version; the actual are beta. Same is for Apple Safari, that looks fast in pages downloading.
Anyway I found Mozilla Firefox 3 the best, I've stickied with this in my PC. :)

Have they fixed the EULA yet? I hope so; because before they did you had to agree to let them own and be able to freely reproduce anything you did with Chrome. Chrome is fast, but really, it's hardly faster then Firefox 3, if any faster. Once you get Firefox tweaked right, it's pretty darn nice.

I didn't find that Chrome allowed any more viewing space, seeing as how with Firefox you can make have only two bars at the top too (yes, that includes the tab bar). That doesn't allow for the forward and back buttons though, but I don't care seeing as how my mouse has those features built in.

And yes, I am a Firefox fanboy. XD

No my laptop is dead silly :P it has some odd message during POST which is not a problem except in my case it is. It says "press F2 to continue" I press it and nothing happens. I have tried everything and nothing works. It just sticks on that message.

It loads, so it isn't dead. Have you done immense googling?

On topic: is Google Chrome on version 1 now? Is it no longer a beta? XD

Yes but the only solution I have found is a bios reset which has not done squat.

On topic
It's V1 now.
