How to make a ar.file??

Hi, I have a car that I want to give more horse power to. I unzip it and bump the horse power up but when I zip it back up as an ar file it doesn't show up in the game. I notice that the orignal zip shows 56 file/folders. but after i zip it it shows 71 files/folders. can anyone piont me in the right direction?

First you need the author permission

then i dduno why it don't work... :S

I dont know how to unzip .ar files. Can you tell me how.
