Givort you're totally wrong.
The riddle says how 4 people, two fathers and two sons, can share between them 3 chocolate bars withour break them. So, how can one of the 4 people have chocolate without break the 3 chocolate bars? Eat a quantity of them instead of break them.
Isn't important how many quantity is shared, but if all the people have to eat the same quantity, three of them eat 3/4 of each chocolate bar and give the rest to the other person.

You talk about of a not existing third group of one father and one son, without say how can the 4 people share 3 chocolate bars between they withour brake them. And the question isn't how many people can share the chocolate bars without breaking them.
