Civilian to cop cars mod

So you might remember, I tried doing a mod where I make the normal default cars look like police cars. That was a train wreck, as I've lost the files, and the cars didn't end up looking very good.
So, I'm now redoing the mod. But instead of releasing everything at once, I'll release in packs of 2, 3 or maybe 4 cars, otherwise I might never finish the mod.

First pack: Special Response Patrol
Image

It includes the best cars for high speed chases, the ones that are called when everything else fails, the best of the best.

Panoz GTR-1 Cruiser:

Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Cruiser:

Volkswagen New Beetle RSi Cruiser:

All cars have had their horsepower, weight and damage resistance increased. This leads to less damage taken upon impact, better acceleration, but slightly worse top speed.

Second pack: Speed Enforcement Patrol
Image

It includes the cars that, if you were to be needed in the other side of the city within the minute, these would be your choice.

Audi TT Cruiser:

Panoz AIV Roadster Cruiser:

Also, this is an updated version, where I fixed some problems, and now both packs come bundled in one file (Speed Enforcement and Special Response):
-Fixed Audi TT damage textures being derped
-Fixed cars normals being screwy
-Fixed Panoz AIV selection sound being the GTR-1
-Fixed some UV mapping in the doors. White stuff going where it shouldn't ( อก

Nice police pack!

Do you plan to make a version where SF/London/Chicago police default cars are replaced by those three?

Well, I was trying to make a London and Chicago version, but it wasn't coming out well, no matter what I tried. So no, most likely no :/

DUDE THAT AWSOME :aprobar: keep it up, but please don't skip the ford mustang I've been waiting ages for it to be tuned :)

There is a problem:
Why did you edit the Austin Martin's dashboard (ie enlarging it, now the full dashboard doesn't fit on my screen) :frown2:

I guess he has used the dashboard patched for 16:9 screens

Yup, I used the RV5 patch for dashboards (also, thanks Deebz for that), but you can make your own patch using default files. Just add "cop" in front of the car name and you should be golden.

Very nice work with these other cars. :)
Anyway, I'm noticing a probable not connected vertices issue of the models, because of some sharp edges, visible especially on the rear of the Panoz Roadster.

Yeah, I've been already told that. It appears it's a normals problem. Will release a fixed version later when it's all fixed in a single package, probably when I finish the next one ;)

Wow, double post again (whoops). First post has been updated at it's bottom, and all problems (that I know of) should be fixed now. So redownload it when you can to join the SFPD at it's full force! :D
