In an old and basic game like MM2 a such feature has to be implemented, and I don't know if the DirectX 7 can allow it, maybe yes, but it can result really basic too. And especially, in MM2 there isn't neither a sun glow effect, figure out if there had to be the lens flare one. Really a kind of lens flare there's in MM2, related in particular with the police cars lights, but is hard notice it during a gameplay.
The now cancelled Shader Mod 3 had to get a such feature, as MM2BR said, but there's no proof as I know...
In all the screenshots where's present that effect it has been easily added with a photographic program.

Maybe, it might be possible. I got the sky domes imported, so maybe a moving object or an object connected to the dome might make it possible?

You could a lens flare to a sky texture. Using dummiesboys skydome and texture method would work. But that would just be a texture, not shading/particles method.

So there won't be any Lens Flare effect? like the shining bits etc...right?

so its not possible?...thats okIt wouldn't work, I've tried. MM2 Skydomes don't use any form of alpha channel, so it would look like several boxes in the sky.
but i do want to know how to create your own skies...if you know what i mean..

The game Driver: You Are The Wheelman uses DirectX 7 and has a lens flare effect for the sun, so I believe it's possible for MM2, considering Driver is quite older then MM2.
