Track Bounds : We can have highpoly bounds

Postby aaro4130 » Fri Jan 27, 2017 12:35 am

Turns out, you can use 40,000+ poly bounds in your tracks. Possibly even more if you are using quads properly.

To do this:
- Export your track with MM2CT, as 1 object.
- Import that PKG in Blender
- Switch into edit mode, press "A" to select all, then "ALT+J" to turn it into quads. NOTE: Set Max Face Angle to 1 and Max Shape Angle to 180, otherwise this won't work properly. These options will be on the bottom left of your screen after pressing ALT+J.
- Export your BND with Blender, and tick BBND and TER generation

With the BBND and TER, you should be able to use a giant bound for your track. :)

Cool and interesting discovery.Very well done. :)
So, I guess that's possible to do due to the .bbnd and .ter files, instead of the only .bnd one.
