The question is about all cars or cars really made for MM2 (excluding conversion) ?
Conversion requires less work than modeling, 3D model and textures are already created. In addition, it allows the inclusion of cars adapted to current games, which are very detailed.
Model a vehicle takes a lot of hours of work to create everything, whether 3D or creating textures, besides we also tuning part and sound to do. I did not think that converters can get out as many vehicle in such a short time that if he were modeling. In fact, I think the question should be concerned vehicles created by modelers.

I think it's about all cars. Sometimes you can make a conversion with a nice dash, good sounds etc so they count too

I don't say it's not work, i just say it's not pure creation and it's less work than for modeler.

I understand your point Pibraclab, but just as Sajmon14 said, the fact it's a conversion of another game doesn't mean it's surely an easy to make mod. Getting good sounds (something I'm not really good at, though), creating dashboards, proper tuning, and the editions to the 3D model to include all that good features like proper reflection levels, rotating brake pads, shooting flames from the exhausts, light effects, etc. take some considerable effort too. It all mathers how to conversion was made - a good one, featuring these details show effort from the converter.

Only as far as the modeling, editing or 3d model problems troubleshooting, the Modellers' and Converters' work progresses vary. Beyond that rest of the job is same. Apart from that... Modellers are, imo, experienced people as compared to converters, who need tutorials to piggyback on. Or simply put - go by the book everytime.

Say, a given model has to be converted to a totally different game and the constituent tutorials, plugins/filters for the 3d app are provided to both, a Modeller and a Converter - The Modeller grasps things instantly while the converter picks it up gradually. (pardon the spelling errors)

As for best car .. I favor the Renault Trafic and my cop favorites BMW M5 E60 '09 cop and Sesto Elemento Cop. I'd vouch for the Trafic as the best vehicle I've tried till date, considering it being HQ for it's time (2005) as well.

Keanu Reeves chose the Red pill and started bending spoons. I chose ZModeler 1.07b and made my own Matrix.

HQTM Team was making great models and textures, but they couldn't make good vehicle sounds at all, most of them are just mashups of in-game sounds

Yeah, especially the Panoz sounds are most annoying. Such great car making team should offer a bit more, and Subaru sounds weren't hard to get even back then.

Trion Nemesis RR, even though it lacks dashboard, became my new fav MM2 car.

I mean, I've never seen so far a non-fantasy car, with such easy handling, megaspeed acceleration and great design!

This topic is a little old, but one of my all-time favorite MM2 cars i Jelly's Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante. It was a great car with good tuning, it also had really nice damage textures and a good dash Other favorites are Buggattiman253mph's Alfa 8c for the same reason i like the Gallardo, and also anything made by The_Most_Wanted. Sajmon's scratch made cars are also really nice, as well as his convertions.

Yeah, it's a real shame they never unlocked their mods before they disbanded :(

If the files were unlocked, we could add proper sounds to the cars.
