No hurries . Will the addon MM2 cars use the same 'system' that you're working on, post the ad-hoc implementation for MM2 car compatibility ? You know me, always blathering moddability

The system I'm working on reproduces properly RPM and gears, so it can be used with original MM2 tune files. The main challenge with MM3 cars is getting the very same performances, but it can be achieved easily by fiddling with drag.

Update: in the last month I could not work at the project because I had to study for some exams. Anyway, in the last week I resumed, I finished re-tuning the cars for the new system and started working on engine sounds. The sound scripts in the final game are compiled in binary form, but a MM3 beta Yallis sent me some time ago contains the same sound scripts written in plain text. MM3's sound scripts are made for a special sound system, flexible but quite complex, so instead of using the original scripts I will transcribe them in a simpler form, retaining the same functionality and making the required code simpler to write. MM3 engine sounds use many different sound files (10+) with many different properties, so transcribing all the cars' scripts will take a while.

Take your time. That means decelaration and exhaust sound support too, right ?
..so instead of using the original scripts I will transcribe them in a simpler form, retaining the same functionality and making the required code simpler to write
In text form, like the beta ? Wow, so sounds are flexible as well !!! Gosh, I sound like doge.

The sounds reproduced will be the same as in the original MM3. Anyway, transcribing the files is not necessary, the sound system is simpler than I thought initially, I will use the original beta text files without any edits. (Also, the compiled version of the beta files look practically the same as the retail version, so differences are really minimal)

No, it is a Xbox beta.

Oh, do you mean the Xbox? Not the game.
Oh wait, the old Xbox was always beta?! 8O
There are different versions of that console?

FXANBSS, you're doing a big confusion... :P He's talking about the beta version of MM3 for Xbox, that actually existed and was also owned by Rippance, the MM2C website owner.
MM3 for PC was never announced and probably never started to be developed or even just planned by Microsoft.

Back on topic, that easy thing sounds encouraging for the continuing of the project. Keep it up, SeuperSecret. :)

Sorry for the long wait, I had to study for several exams, and attending classes at the university also takes a lot of time, anyway I managed to understand how the city colliders work, and now they are loaded ingame, this fixes things such as stairs, I also fixed car steering and suspensions, build 5 is available here (it still requires the Data folder from Build 1) The full changelog is available in the first post and in the 7z archive.
