Windows XP

Postby carmaniac » Sun Oct 27, 2013 3:07 pm

As you all may know, support for Windows XP is ending on April 8, 2014. I now use Windows 7 but I still miss using XP. I'm thinking of dual booting Win 7 and XP... Do you guys love, like, dislike or hate XP? :scratchchin:

I didn't think that MM1 would run on 8!
Anyway, back to the topic.
I really loved Windows XP because of it's nice design and was basic (in a good way)! The ''Bliss'' wallpaper (you know, that hill with the blue sky?) was very nice too! :)

I've a lot of memories associated with XP's wallpapers! :vsad: Specially the one with a sail boat and 3 palm trees on an island (idk the name) and the one with trees with orange leaves (autumn I think). But Windows 7's semi transparent taskbar and windows look better than any previous versions.

When you get a new PC, you could always dual boot XP

I run XP still, and as long as my machine works, I don't plan on upgrading. I have too many favorite PC games from the '98 era that I'm afraid might not work on a 7 or an 8.

I ADORE Windows XP! And I dont like Win 8, because I am not used to it. :P But thats my opinion.

The reason why I love XP is because of its simplicity. Anyone could use it, even a four year old (me!). I also like 7, because its based almost 100% on XP. :)

on the topic of computer stuff...

Thank God! The past several weeks, our household has been experiencing major internet trouble. Then, every time I connected my computer, the router kicked everyone else offline. Then last night, my dad found evidence that someone was hacking into the family network--through my computer. I eventually realized that my anti-virus security had only been half-installed, was not even functional, and my firewall was off. I immediatly got to work, and caught 3 Trojans. Plus I must have caught a couple of other things too, from what my dad said after checking through the network. Both me and my mom are nearly convinced it was the government, after some of the stuff I've researched, but whoever it was, we foxed them for now.

(...I'm on the verge of seeing if I can hack the hacker back and see what he did while he was inside...)
