It's a decent graphic card, this model is of a low range and isn't so powerful, but if you don't play so much games and more recent games than MM2 it's ok. It's always better than the integrated graphic chip, and it fits to your pretty old system. You have to see if is possible install it.

I think that is the most interesting heatsink/cooler I have ever seen.

Gives and odd look, if I were you, I would go for nVidia. I can tell that plastic cooling will burn up.

The cooling system can never be made of plastic, usually only its cover is made with this material. ;) The cooling system is a passive type on this graphic card model, very good for silence, and it's perfect for it since this graphic card isn't too much hot.
As said, if your target isn't to play new and recent games and to don't use the best graphic settings when some games have too much lag, this graphic card is perfect. Nvidia doesn't offer a DirectX 11 alternative to this graphic card so far, and the few available are too much old and sure worse in performances.

Thats true Franch. But when I get this card and 2GB RAM onto my PC, then I would probably get a new brick next December 2011, which...is going, to take long to wait. :?

But no matter, I only play MM2, GTA San Andreas and Halo Custom Edition.
And this card will be alright for these 3 game with no lag at all, would it, Franch?

EDIT!
Forgot to say this costs about $110 NZD, with 2GB RAM is about, $100 NZD I think. Plus GST.

Total is $280 NZD. Which is good

MM2 is a very old game as we know, and this graphic card is also too much for it, but surely there won't be any lag problem. The other two games are newer than MM2, but always pretty old now, and probably the won't give lag problems too. Is important to know which screen resolution usually you use with games, from it can be said what graphic card you need; if it's 1280x1024 pixels, this graphic card is perfect with those games.
The price of 280 dollars is good for this graphic card and 2 GB of DDR2 RAM memory.

My resolution is 1440x900 pixels, and I always use it.

I don't really care if its old or not, it just depends if I find it attractive, or interesting.

Of course it's not made of plastic, but same thing as plastic, burns out. Good idea, better upgrade the ram too.

I have a Sapphire Raedon HD 5450 and it plays MM2 brilliantly, no lag even wth large resolutions and high poly vehicles.

The only pitfall I found was that this isn't as powerful as I expected, because I tried to record myself, but having 2Gb of RAM and a dual core Celeron probably doesn't help things.

Good entry level card, but not reccomended for hard core gaming. Great pricing too...picked mine up for AU$119.

I would suggest you a HD5770 Vapor-X which I have. It isn't much more expensive than this one.

It should work. It's not a little faster, it's way more faster than the one you choose. Here, that HD5770 Vapor-X cost only 190
