Wireless routers?

Postby zoot » Thu Aug 12, 2010 7:24 pm

Hi,

I am looking to get a wireless router. My problem is that some reviews are god and some are bad on most of them. I think i should get a netgear d-link dual router, but there are good and bad reviews. I am looking for something less than $55. Do you guys have any usggestions when buying a router or suggestions on which router is good?

I had D-Link for a long time (maybe 4-5 years) before it broke down. It was very good.

Now I have Netgear, which is also good.

I think they all perform well. Its not a big deal to discuss about different routers as they are simple machines. ;)

I also have Netgear. The first week I have one, I left it on as usual, over night, etc, burnt the first days, got another different model, was better, but those heat up to a decent level. I was told Belkin, I was told the Apple AirPort, and the Linksys WRT- series was the best, I would get the Linksys WRT54GL for the money, right at the end of your budget, had one for years, still using it.
