Nice photos of your actual system, good case, but maybe those fans are too much; you've also removed the frontal cover, is it to let them work better without get dust accumulation? That's not safe too. You put that paper just to coved the LED lights? A weird solution, it covers also a part of the DVD writer, don't you use it? :P
Well three fans are broken? How could happen that? And how can be possible use oil for them? They're always electrical parts, not mechanical ones...

It's not good have the Xbox 360 controlled placed on the ground in that way. Nice mouse pad, and yeah, everyone should like them. :P The desk is still the same, now much more worn. :P
I finally took some pics of my really fancy, classy lookin computer. Prepare to drool.
Yeah, it's an hilarious system and desk place. :P

I don't know. They are pretty loud at full speed, supposedly 45DBa and 85CFM, but the new ones seem more like 35DBa and 70-75CFM. :| They are silent at half-speed. And oiling them could possibly help very much to quiet them. I guess it depends on how high quality the oil is that Yate Loon used.
you've also removed the frontal cover, is it to let them work better without get dust accumulation? That's not safe too.
Well I'm not too worried. Seeing as how I have accidentally stuck my fingers in every case fan I have owned and most likely hurt the fan a lot more then my fingers (the worst that happened was once I broke a finger nail....wow that sounded stupid...).

I did it to quiet the fans. The guards add noise, and from my experience guards for intake fans increase noise the most, and I want my fans to run as quiet as possible. I plan on cutting off the guard on the back of the case and cutting out the guards on the front fan mounts.
Well three fans are broken? How could happen that?
Well one I was testing and stuff while holding it...and dropped it, and one of it's fan blades broke off. Another I stepped on. And another one a wire came out of. I would have to completely take apart the plug (break it, basically) to rewire it.
And how can be possible use oil for them? They're always electrical parts, not mechanical ones...
Well from what I have read and the pictures I have seen,--at least most pc fans--they have a chamber underneath the sticker that is on them. The sticker is there to keep the motor from drying out. You drop a very small amount of oil into the hole. I have read that it is a good idea to oil them every once in awhile to keep them from getting louder and to extend their life.

It seems a bit earlier to oil them since they are brand new but maybe I will do it anyway; I'm sure I could get better oil then what was used on them when made. I think.
The desk is still the same, now much more worn. :P
Haha, yeah.

One worn down desk. Thinking too much about the crazy pictures huh? Nice computer, clearly built by you. Try not to burn the paper on the front. :) Anyway, for safety sake, get a new case soon. The fans are bare and will cut you.

I still have the guards. I really don't see the danger lol. Seeing as how I have accidentally stuck my fingers in my other Yate Loon fans while they were running full speed and I was fine. I do not want to have guards one them. They just make the fans louder and decrease the airflow.

I've been thinking about upgrading again. Getting a new motherboard, RAM, CPU, and video card. I would need to sell my current parts though.

Motherboard
CPU
Video Card
RAM

I'm hoping the motherboard is good. I'm always clueless when it comes to motherboards. Some people act like Gigabyte is awesome, others act like they're horrible. Some people act like ASUS is the best, others don't seem to think so.

There isn't much selection on newegg for motherboards with 1156 sockets.

Oh, and also, what was the latest connector for the new motherboards? )Besides the 24-pin connector.) I'm not 100% sure my current PSU has the needed connector(s).

Hmm, well I'm thinking that I might go with AMD for this build. One thing that interests me is the 6core processors. AMDs is $200, intels is $1,000. So if I wanted a 6core I would have to buy AMD.

I guess it depends how good AMDs latest CPUs are versus Intels latest CPUs. And if 6 cores is useless or not right now.

The Intel's Nehalem architecture is way better than the last AMD ones, but this last is cheaper and compatible with older sockets (AM2, AM2+). The 6 core AMD processors don't reach the performances of the 6 core Intel processors, and they get even beat by some quad core Intel Core i7 model. Important to say that 6 cores are still useless with most of the uses, games for first, and very few professional programs can use so many cores.
Nice choices of motherboard, CPU, video card and RAM memory. About motherboards, Gigabyte is a very good brand, now competitive like Asus. Asus is very good in quality and it offers exclusive features for overclockers.

I didn't have good experience with Asus. Intel is better, but if it's price, go for the AMD.

Yeah, I guess I will go with the i7, Gigabyte, and the G.Skill RAM. I'll hold off on the graphics card though and stick with what I have for now since I don't have money for a new one. I should be able to buy those parts right now and once I install them I can work on selling my old stuff.
