A good used car. Depending on your tastes and money.

Gasoline or Diesel, too.

You have to go look around.

As Riva said, depending on your money; you have to get a car that uses lots of gas or diesel. For a first one may people get a used one to get used to driving, or you can get a new one.

Smaller - Less gas (Most likely), takes up less room (parking). But less space for your stuff if you haul a lot. Cost less.

Bigger - More gas (Most likely), takes up more room (road, etc). But you can haul more stuff. Cost more.

Good luck in passing the final exams and in getting the driving licence.
For a novice driver is better a small car, that's less impegnative to drive, and with pretty cheap price and mainteinance costs. Of course it must have a small engine and a low consuption too.
