I am a video game collector and archivist. I would like to have the ability to download all the MM2 files so that, in the unfortunate event the site goes offline, there will be a reliable backup of this amazing game.
Since you are seeking donations, you may consider offering a torrent, USB Stick, or DVD for sale. ($25-$50 (USD)?)
Also it helps stop people from leeching.

Sorry, but this idea sounds too much weird and absurd... We aren't able to organize a such offer, and especially, can't ask money for stuff made free by the community... If you want to download all the files present in this website, get patience and download them one by one. That's it. We aren't neither having file leeching problems.
