Idea of a 'Thanks' button...

Postby It_Is_Me » Tue Apr 16, 2013 8:41 pm

Just a suggestion:
I have not been on this site long, but I noticed something I could not see that may be of some interest. I'm fairly certain that it can be used on phpBB systems.
Basically, it is a button which allows the user to "thank" or "agree" with what the poster says. One example from the Empire Attack Forums shows the use of this: https://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/163/jappr.jpg/ (ignore the fact that it says 'japproval' (just something devised by the community). Another example from a different forum https://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/195/thankbq.jpg/ An example is if the reader agrees with the post but doesn't have anything to say, they can use this. Thoughts?

It's a good idea that can surely be implemented, but I don't see it an useful feature, I think that's easily visible if a member is helpful or not in a forum. But, it has to be a system only to say "thank you" to the reply posted to help someone, and each member has his counters of them, it hasn't to be a plus/minus posts system.
