In 2014, XYZ (I won't mention the name of that MM2x member.) had told me that there was a better way of MM1 SotY. In that idea there will be only 1 contest in the entire year. So, there will be a year for a person to make a screenshot. And there will be voting only once in a year. The prize will be: Entry into Yearly MM2x Multiplayer Competition (A new idea of me to improve MM2 multiplayer.)

I want permission for it. The contest duration will be 1 year and voting will happen once. There will be no SotMs.

Well, I don't think anyone would prohibit you of doing such think, the problem is if anyone enjoys the idea.

One of the reasons MM1 got less players and less attention is the fact more and more members have their machines running on Windows 8 and 10, and MM1 malfunctions under those versions and there's no known fix. Still, I could try to get MM1 on my PC and participate. The idea is interesting since it's not as frequent as a monthly contest and gives us time to come up with something, but if you take your idea forward keep in mind to give enough time for us to participate, but an entire year might be too much.

BTW, maybe it's better if you keep it free theme. Honestly back on MM1 SOTM your later themes where interesting for anyone besides you.

Lets see what Franch says. Once in a year means there will be enough posters and voters. There will be free theme. But there will be no prize because maybe that contest won't be there.

The once a year screenshot contest idea is good for MM1 but I agree with what KingAndy said

Well, this idea can work, right because it's unique in the year. Anyway, hardly it can work again in the successive year.
So, if you want, in next December post a topic about the contest for the MM1 screenshot of this year.

Are some of those rules really necessary? I can't really imagine people "fighting" because someone didn't voted for them... Neither someone getting banned and making a secondary account just to participate on the contest.

You really did planned a lot of ways things could go wrong and created rules for them, but on a community like ours I think that's not really necessary.

It happened, that Kuku or something created a new account KDriver to talk to Franch and then posted a screenshot in the contest. But he had already posted it through his account Kuku before that one got banned. (I think you know what had happened.)
