I downsized most of my textures, and my bound is only a big cube, but the ar is still 9000 kb and its still crashing. I can't downsize all the textures, because some of them get messed up.

Going to try my alternative daf model and see if I get anywhere with that.

Selection screen. I open the menu, its listed there, but then it crashes when I select it.

BTW, I'm finally down to a record low of 595 models. Before too long, I should have few enough to start showing real progress :)

Description field...um...checking now...

Edit: Here's the info file I borrowed from another DAF, only changed the first 3 things so far:

BaseName=dafsingle
Description=DAF XF single-axle
Colors=Black|Gold|Navy|Orange|Pine|Red|Sand|Smoke|White
Flags=0
Order=-1
ScoringBias=20.0
UnlockScore=0
UnlockFlags=0
Horsepower=7500
Top Speed=120
Durability=20000
Mass=2000
ForceFeedbackModifier=0.7
RoadForceModifier=1.5

BTW, I'm reuploadiing the mediafire link I posted earlier, because I've modified the truck extensively since then. Here's the new version:
https://www.mediafire.com/download/dl96v ... single.zip
And all the skins are daf_<color>. Should it be dafsingle_<color>?

Yes, the skins should have the basename in front. So it should be dafsingle_<color>

Doesn't matter skin names and prefixes are up to you.
dafsingle would fit but you can make them daf. Or even idontknowitshouldbedaforsingledaf_ but that would be redundant XD

Sorry for little show of progress lately. I think my computer is slowly dying on me, with an average of 1 - 2 BSOD a day and the range of possible problems is too broad to cover.

So, I'm looking into getting a windows 8 laptop w/touchscreen, and after that I'll resume. could b a few months though.

Windows 8 is not compatible with Midtown Madness 2.

Get a picture of the blue screen and PM me it, I used to work at a computer repair place and diagnose these types of issues, usually with success. If you can't get a picture write down the error codes and any .sys files that it shows up if any.

Not compatible?!? Now that ruins my day :(

Anyway, here's the code:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
0x0000000A (0xAE127000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x82C77E63)

And when I turned it on and it asks to check for a solution and all, this is the additional information it gave me
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: a
BCP1: AE127000
BCP2: 00000002
BCP3: 00000001
BCP4: 82C77E63
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\070314-36098-01.dmp
C:\Users\William Wallace\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-183987-0.sysdata.xml

I'll try to locate the files and get them to you, if they'll help diagnose the problem.

You get this error code when your drivers, or sometimes devices, are going bad... or so I remember. (I installed a bad driver once...)

So I calculated, but the hard part is, which one? I already replaced the RAM several months ago, and the graphics card a few months after that. None of my hardware is recent enough to pinpoint as possible incompatibility problems, though I suppose wearing out and going bad would still be an option, but with drivers also being a possible problem my scope is still too wide...

Also you must consider driver versions making hardware conflict, start by removing your graphics card if you have an onboard, if you don't have an onboard graphics card, use your old one if you still have it. If it still BSODs remove any CD/Floppy drives (yes they can cause an issue, had it happen before), If you're down to RAM and CPU and onboard graphics and you still BSOD, try using one ram stick at a time. If it still BSOD's it's more likely to be your motherboard. You may also want to check your PSU, sometimes they are at fault with low voltage spikes.

Well, didn't get that far...

Last night, like JUST after purchasing a new desktop, I restarted the computer cause my security wanted me to inorder to finish cleaning. As it restarts, suddenly, BAMM! It gets as far as the windows startup screen, pauses, flashes a BSOD, and attempts reboot. Nothing I tried did any good. So I'm now writing this borrowing my mom's old machine which will go to my older brother when he comes home from the Appalacians several months from now. I slaved my hard drive so that when my laptop arrives, I'll be able to save everything from loss.

He actually has a machine already, but it still has XP cause he left before support ended, so when he comes home and switches machines, I might get his old one and then I'll still be able to model and play in MM.

Btw, the machine is coming with an AMD a10, anyone have experience with them? Like, dislike?
